Rev. Lola Culbreath - St. Martin's In the Desert

Biography

Rev. Lola Culbreath

My name is Lola A. Culbreath. My early years were spent growing up with wonderful parents and I learned about Native American culture firsthand.

I spent 45 years of my life working in health care. I lived in Las Vegas, NV before moving to Pahrump, NV.

I was confirmed in the Episcopal Church at All Saints Episcopal Church in Las Vegas, NV over 30 years ago. I attended that church until I moved to Pahrump, NV.

After retirement I decided to answer a call to the Priesthood. I was ordained as a Deacon in 2018 at St. Martin’s in the Desert by The Right Reverend Dan T. Edwards 10th Bishop of Nevada. Six months later I was ordained as an Episcopal Priest. The ordination took place at Christ Episcopal Church in Las Vegas, NV also by The Right Reverend Dan T. Edwards.

He said to him, ” ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” (Matthew 22:37-40)
